Laundry Room Insta-Project

All of the holiday and craft supplies were stored on the top shelf above the washing machine.
Before I got my hands on this room the shelves were over flowing with Happy Birthday messages and curly ribbons. The challenge here was to figure out what was actually being used and what wasn’t.
Popcorn Ceiling Removal. Not as fun as it sounds.
After we cleared everything out of the room, we moved the machines and CLEANED UP!
The very first step was to get everything out of there! Now we can really see what we’re working with as far as the room is concerned.
After we moved the machines out of the way, it was time to paint the room the homeowner’s choice color of lavender.
My wonderful help for the day! We weren’t originally planning on removing the popcorn ceilings, but this amazing worker bee stepped in!

We put the homeowner’s laundry detergent in this cute little glass lemonade jar from Dollar General. Her trash bags are perfectly hiding in the little bin along with a bleach pen. Inside the big bin are all of her spot sprays and cleaning products she uses often.
The homeowner found this adorable chalk board wall hanging basket that we put her dryer sheets in and hung her most used laundry bag from the hook.
The top shelf bins are full of cleaning supplies the homeowner only uses every now and then. She also found this cute chalk board hanging decor piece that can be used in all sorts of ways in the laundry room! You can remind yourself there is something washing that you don’t want to dry in the dryer or that you need to wash that black dress for tomorrow’s banquet!
The tub on the top shelf is full of (organized) craft supplies that the homeowner uses regularly.
And the after shots! This project took us two days due to the paint and additional time spent removing the popcorn ceiling and painting the ceiling over, but overall the reorganizing was quick and painless. People usually have a couple bottles of the same cleaning products and products that they don’t use. Get rid of the excess! Lucky for me, my homeowner had great taste and picked out some really cute decor pieces and storage bins. Teamwork definitely makes the dream work!
